The State of Grace’s is London’s only bespoke head-to-toe design, styling and beauty house.
Our highly specialized skills are in increasing demand to design and style for women wanting to create their own signature look rather than trotting out as clothes-horses for designer labels. A recent client appeared on the front page of The Daily Telegraph this summer as the best dressed at Ascot; Paloma Faith chose The State of Grace to design her sell-out UK tour look; and Prince Harry’s recent amour, Florence Brudnell Bruce wore The State of Grace for the Cannes Film Festival and several red carpet premieres. Their clothes, accessories and styling have graced women as diverse as Jerry Hall, Sade, Kate Moss, Helen Mirren, Lucy Yeomans, Keira Knightley and Claudia Schiffer.
The State of Grace was founded by Lucia Silver. Born in Holland Park, London of Anglo-Australian parents, Lucia graduated from Oxford and was an award winning European Account Director at JWT ad agency.
The L Boutique in Notting Hill was Lucia’s platform for establishing The State of Grace at the end 2009. She regularly writes and presents as an expert on various areas of fashion and interior style as well as on the world of bespoke. Lucia has been described in the media as everything from ‘an arbiter of feminine chic’ (FT) to ‘a modern alchemist responsible for miraculously transforming women and their homes’ (ES Magazine).
In addition to following her passion for authentic couture fashion, Lucia has expressed her creativity and love for the ethnic in her renovation and complete redesign of her own sumptuous riad (boutique hotel) in Marrakech (www.darjaguar.com).
